Milktoast Christianity

Do you want to know what’s wrong with America and the world at large?

I’ll tell you.

Very early in the church, from its foundation, we were taught how to “preach the gospel,” how to “save souls,” but never did we learn how to disciple nations (Matt. 28:19-20). From the beginning, His people were to be a kingdom of priests (Ex. 19:5-6), but they were afraid and changed the contract: “Speak to us yourself, and we will listen, but do not have God speak to us, or we will die!” (Ex. 20:19).

What do you think He meant when He said, “the government will be on His shoulders” (Isa. 9:6)? Did you think Jesus was going to come down to earth and run things from day one, or did you think God wanted us to go to hell in a handbasket until the 1,000-year reign of Messiah?

No, neither.

We are the body, He is the head, and the government was designed to rest on His shoulders. But mistakes were made, and consequently – at the end of this age – we have a global society filled with milktoast Christians who are comfortable tolerating things worse than a bogus POTUS and Watergate-esque corruption.

Many of this generation’s Christians shall pass in their tribulation: we are likened to the Israelites that crossed the red sea, to those who would not enter, who would instead take orders from a preacher than enter into a real relationship with their King.

You need to decide this: will you be a complainer and a sitter, or will you be a Joshua or a Caleb in the days to come? Are you willing to choose something new?

But what is God’s answer to him? “I have kept for myself seven thousand men who have not knelt down to Ba‘al.” It’s the same way in the present age: there is a remnant, chosen by grace.

Vaccine Passports: A forerunner to the mark of the beast

See the source image

The Vaccine Passport of today is a forerunner to the Mark of the Beast.

People who refuse to comply with vaccine mandates are increasingly putting themselves in positions where they cannot buy or sell – in one way or another.

Satan is not creative

Satan does not create things out of whole cloth: he mimics the things of God, to give them a semblance of truth. I’m sure you’ve heard of the saying, “the best lies have an element of truth mixed in.”

Consider this Godly prerequisite:

You shall therefore impress these words of mine on your heart and on your soul, and you shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontals on your forehead.”

Deuteronomy 11:18

These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart … You shall bind them as a sign on your hand and they shall be as frontals on your forehead.”

Deuteronomy 6:4-9

As I suggested in a previous blog, the things that we allow to be impressed upon our heart and soul are ultimately those things we work out of our existence as a form of worship.

Philosophy and Religion are tightly coupled

Philosophy adherents maintain a belief and trust in a system, and they work out their philosophy with their hands – as a sign so to speak. Such “working out” may take the form of religious services, or it may take the form of musings through lectures, papers, and books.

Thus he said: ‘The fourth beast will be a fourth kingdom on the earth, which will be different from all the other kingdoms and will devour the whole earth and tread it down and crush it.’

Daniel 7:23

Hence, when one is being forced to worship an ungodly philosophy of the state, then you’re being forced to worship the beast.

Life and Liberty

Denying people their constitutionally protected liberties and lives without due process is an ungodly, criminal philosophy. We may rightly suggest that denying someone the right to work when there are other, perhaps less desirable opportunities, hardly rises to any qualification of denying one protected liberties.

But we all know, this one example is but the tip of the iceberg.

The issue of how to “motivate” vaccine compliance has generated increasing interest, with commentators such as Mike Cernovich writing: ‘Government won’t force you to take vaccine. Amazon will. Airlines will. Banks will. You won’t be able to buy, sell, or trade without the vaccine.

Discerning the future from the past

Finally, we must understand that everything that has happened in the past, or will happen in the future, has always first been tested or performed as a “trial run.”

What has been, it is what will be, and what has been done, it is what will be done. So there is nothing new under the sun.

Ecclesiastes 1:9

To understand what will come in the future, we need to look to the past, or perhaps even the present (the near past):

Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times {those} things which have not been done – saying, ‘My plan will be established, and I will accomplish all My good pleasure;

Isaiah 46:1
